A/R: GOV’T HAS ISSUED FINANCIAL CLEARANCE TO EMPLOY 20881 UNEMPLOYED NURSES
The Director General of Ghana Health Service,Dr Nsiah Asare has stated that is never true that his government refused to issue financial clearance for unemployed Nurses to be employ in the health service.
He said through the support of npp government and his outfit ,the ministry of health currently has issued financial clearance to 20881unemploy Nurses to get job across the country.
“Employment is a process,so they will all get their employment because there are a lot of new hospitals we are going to commissioned and we will need people to work there.”
He also assured that,his government will completed and commissioned at least 4 of the uncompleted hospitals in the Ashanti region by the end of the year.
Meanwhile the Ashanti regional Director of Heath Service Dr.Emmanuel Tinkrong indicates that ,
attempt Suicide cases in the Ashanti Region has increased from 75 to 113 in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Suicide deaths also increased from 7 to 11 cases.
The Ashanti Regional Director of Ghana Health Service,Dr Emmanuel Tinkorang announced at the 2018 Annual Performance Review Meeting in Kumasi on Thursday.
The Region under the year review,also saw an improvement in mental health care cases.
He said, cases reported decreased from 10,259 in 2017 to 9,973 in 2018 due to a result of mental health units opened in the district hospitals.
Dr Tinkorang noted,Epilepsy/Seizures and Schizotypal & delusional disorders as top 5 conditions reported.
He said,the region OPD per capital increased from 0.85 to 0.96 in 2018 where percentage insured also increased from 79.9% to 81.0%.
“Hospital admission also increased by 26,893.”
Dr Emmanuel Tinkorang mentioned malaria, Acute Respiratory infections and
Rheumatism as the five top causes of OPD cases reported.
