MP CALLS ON GHANAIANS TO SUPPORT DEVELOP EDUCATION SYSTEM IN GHANA

The Member of Parliament for Kwabre East Constituency Hon. Francisca Oteng has called on Ghanaians to support the government with the available resource to develop our educational system.
” Government alone cannot satisfactorily develop education without the involvement of the people”,she said.

She made this call,when presenting some educational items to ten(10) selected Basic and Jhs schools within the constituency to enhance teaching and learning.

The items include 15 desktop computers,16,000 branded exercise books and 5,150 Branded mathematical Sets.
The selected beneficiary schools were Kenyasi Basic school, Islamic Call Jhs,Abira R/C Jhs, Mamponteng M/A Jhs, Antoa M/A Jhs, Asenua M/A jhs, Ahwiaa M/A Jhs, Ntonso M/A Jhs, Hamdaniya Islamic M/A Jhs and Asenua M/A Jhs.

She said ,she is determined to raise educational standards in the area to enable children to come out with flying colours in the 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Hon. Francisca Oteng also indicated that, she is set to open more ICT laboratories in schools to make it possible for children in the area to use the technology to acquire knowledge.

She added that ,she will collaborate with the Municipal Education Service to assist the various schools who are facing dual desks( Furniture) challenges.

Meanwhile the Municipal Director of Education for Kwabre East, Mrs.Stellar Ofori Atta who received the educational materials on behalf of the schools thanked the MP for the gesture and commended him for his immense and regular support to develop schools as well as the educational system in the constituency.
” The mathematical set is going to help solve examination malpractice during upcoming June, 2019 BECE”, she stated.

She therefore assured the Member of Parliament, the received items will fulfill its purpose as assigned and would go a long way to assist schools to improve their performance.
